What is Envision by InMode?
A non-surgical Eye Rejuvenation Treatment. It uses radiofrequency and IPL to improve tear production. This treatment also relieves symptoms. It is a safe and effective treatment that can help you get relief from dry eye and improve your vision.
How does Envision by InMode work?
Uses radiofrequency to heat the meibomian glands, which are the glands that produce oil in the tears. This Helps to Clear Blockages in the Glands and Improve Tear Production. Lumecca (IPL) is used to reduce inflammation in the eyes.
How long does the treatment take?
Each treatment takes about 30-40 minutes and is performed in our office.
How many treatments do I need?
Most people need a series of 4 treatments to get the full benefit for Forma- I and Lumecca. Most patients will start to feel and see improvement after the first treatment. However, a series of 4 treatments is typically recommended for optimal results. Morpheus 8, usually a series of 3 treatments.
Are the Treatments covered by insurance?
This is a cash-paid procedure with treatments averaging around $400. The goal is to get you off drops which can cost anywhere from $2,000-$2,400 a year and needed for the rest of your life.
Are there any side effects ?
The most common side effects are mild redness and swelling of the eyes. These side effects usually go away on their own within a few hours.
Is this safe for everyone?
The treatments are safe for most people. However, it is not recommended for people who are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is also not recommended for those who have certain eye conditions, such as glaucoma or corneal ulcers.
What is the difference between Envision by InMode and other dry eye treatments?
Envision by InMode is a non-surgical treatment that uses radiofrequency and IPL to improve tear production and relieve symptoms. Other dry eye treatments, such as artificial tears and prescription eye drops, can also help to relieve symptoms. However, they do not address the root cause of dry eye. The root cause is meibomian gland dysfunction.
What is the success rate?
The success rate is high. Most people who have the treatment experience significant improvement in their dry eye symptoms. In trials, anywhere from an 85%+ success rate in Patients’ symptoms.
Who is a candidate for treatment?
Patients over 18 with symptomatic or asymptomatic meibomian gland dysfunction can safely undergo this treatment. There are a few exceptions, such as patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or who have existing other existing eye conditions.
What are the pre-treatment requirements ?
There are no specific pre-treatment requirements. However, your doctor may ask you to stop using certain medications, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, before the treatment.
What are the post-treatment requirements ?
Your doctor will give you specific post-treatment instructions.
How long does it take to see results ?
Most people start to see results within a few days of the treatment. However, it may take several weeks to see the full benefits of the treatment.
Is This a permanent solution for dry eye?
This is not a permanent solution for dry eye. However, it can help to improve symptoms and reduce the need for other treatments.
How long do the results last?
Most patients will need 1-2 treatments annually to maintain the results of the initial treatment package.
